Catherine Schoenenberger
Parliamentarian
Stay Safe Traffic Products, Inc.
“Don’t think that you need to check all the boxes before you make your next move. Have faith in yourself and confidence in your abilities. Remember, you can never learn less.”
Catherine Schoenenberger is President and Owner of Stay Safe Traffic Products, Inc., a leading supplier of traffic signs and safety equipment. She provides Work Zone Safety training, and is also among only a handful of approved certified instructors for Massachusetts’ flagger certification and, absolutely, the sole female instructor. She was introduced to NAWIC in 2007 at the NH Good Roads equipment show, but had no clue that WIC stood for Women in Construction. Being from Massachusetts, she really did think WIC meant Women, Infants and Children! Lesson learned - she joined NAWIC in 2008.
In 2009, with huge assistance from the Granite State Chapter members, the NH Road Agents and NH Public Works Association, Catherine established the NH Construction Career Days, a true non-profit and serves as its president. Over 11,000 NH high schoolers have participated in this (nearly) annual event, and it continues.
Catherine moved through the ranks of NAWIC leadership without hesitation, and in 2017-2018 was elected and served as National President of NAWIC. Currently, she is the Granite State’s Chapter parliamentarian, while being a mentor, advisor and sponsor to many emerging and seasoned NAWIC leaders throughout NAWIC nation. “It’s a blast,” she quips.
She is a 1985 Summa Cum Laude Graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Catherine attended the “school of hard knocks” to gain much of her education via experience in business management, advertising, finance and team building. She is a native of Westford, and she, with her husband of 37 years (Keith), reside and work there still.
