Student Resources

  • Are you pursuing a construction-related degree as a college student and require financial assistance?

  • Are you a high school student enthusiastic about the construction industry and seeking practical experience or the opportunity to interact with professionals?

If you answered YES, you've found the perfect destination! Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us using the form on the Contact page. Thank you for your interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry! The future relies on dedicated students like you.

If you're a high school student in New Hampshire with an interest in a construction or transportation-related career, mark your calendar for our annual NH Construction Career Days event in September! Visit our website for more information and inquire with your teacher or guidance counselor about registering your school for this fantastic event at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. Don't miss out!

This event, organized by several NAWIC members and other volunteers, increases career awareness through hands-on experience with heavy equipment, welding, small tools, plumbing, electrical wiring, surveying, engineering, land clearing, underground utilities, and other construction related jobs.

As a student, you will have ample opportunities to drive heavy equipment, try your hand at welding, plumbing, carpentry or electrical work.  We also have engineering challenges, surveying, storm water activities and tree climbing.  There are many representatives from local colleges and apprenticeship programs in attendance.

The NAWIC Founders’ Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) assists in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education and certified training programs. The construction industry encompasses almost every professional discipline, including trades, project management, administrative, legal, financial, insurance, and business owner. The NAWIC Founders Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) is here to help.

Each year we are pleased to award over $250,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts start at $1,000. Some local chapters award scholarships as well. For questions on eligibility please see below or email us at [email protected].

NFSF was founded in 1963, is a self-supporting scholarship program, and is a 509(a)(3) designated organization so contributions are tax deductible as a charitable donation. We have the capability to administer scholarships to college or trade school students for your company or local NAWIC chapter.
